Our 3 members who’ve gained their Queen Scouts awards – the highest youth award in Scouting, have been celebrating their achievements over the last 2 weeks. Tom Hague and Danny Levick attended the County celebration meal where they received their certificates (pictured).
Tom and Danny also hosted their own presentation evening which involved their groups, and raised funds for their group. Tom’s presentation evening was followed by a race night (pictured), food was provided and the well attended night raised £452.30, which will go towards the redevelopment of High green’s headquarters. Pictures can be found here.
Finally, Tom, Ben and Danny all attended the national Queen Scouts parade at Windsor castle (pictured), which was reviewed by the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, and the chief scout Bear Grylls. The 3 Queen Scouts has a great day, despite the weather. This saw the parade been cut short for the first time in living history, which proved to be a slight disappointment. Nonetheless, a great day and celebration was had by all. Pictures can be found here.
Congratulations to our 3 new Queen Scouts, lets hope we see many more in the future from the unit.
